In response to your article, the RIPE NCC, as the operator of K-root, would like to point out that K-root will be ready for DNSSEC deployment in the DNS root zone according to the preliminary timeline.
The preliminary deployment timeline was announced by ICANN and VeriSign at the recent RIPE 59 Meeting, held 5-9 October in Lisbon, Portugal, and can be found on page 22 of the presentation online at: (Klik hier)
In the meantime, the RIPE NCC is planning to participate in extensive testing for DNSSEC in close cooperation with the other root name server operators and the other parties involved.
